His role as a waiter provided a platform for him to connect with customers, share his story, and showcase his artwork. However, balancing a full-time job with his devotion to art has been a constant struggle. His dream is to sell prints of his work, allowing him to become a full-time artist and inspire others to follow their creative paths.
July 2024 marked a significant milestone in his career— his first solo exhibition at CMAP TV Studios in downtown Gilroy. Initially hesitant to display his work, Moreno overcame his fears and was deeply moved by the emotional connections people formed with his art. This experience reinforced his belief in the power of art to heal and unite communities, motivating him to expand his reach beyond Gilroy.
Looking ahead, Moreno challenges himself with larger canvases and greater self-promotion. As the eldest of four siblings, he takes pride in inspiring his younger brothers and sisters to paint, sharing his supplies and encouraging their creativity. He envisions a future where he can open his own gallery, create affordable merchandise, and embark on a world tour to bring his art to diverse audiences.
At the core of Moreno’ s mission is a deep connection to humanity. He sees the world as one, transcending divisions of race and background. Through his art, he hopes to inspire unity, provoke thought, and offer healing in a world that often feels fractured. With an unwavering passion and a strong message, he is determined to leave a lasting impact, ensuring his work reaches and touches people across the globe.
Moreno ' s art is on display in Gilroy at CMAP Studios, The Neon Exchange, and will be on exhibit at the Gilroy Center for the Arts during the month of April. He will host an artist reception on April 5th from 1-4pm. Everyone is welcome.
