Wildflower 2026:
Runners Shine Under Soggy Skies
by Kathy Kellerman, Morgan Hill AAUW
Amajor change this year was a rerouting of all 5K and 10K events; while still starting and ending at Live Oak High School, the new routes exited and returned at the back of the school, avoiding busy streets, relieving parking congestion, and reducing the need for traffic control.
The run nets approximately $ 65,000 annually for local scholarships, community grants, and leadership programs for women and girls. These funds are raised from runner registrations, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.
The Wildflower Run is an all-volunteer-run event organized by the Morgan Hill branch of the American Association of University Women( AAUW). It is supported by the entire South County, including runners, over 200 volunteers, sponsors, the City of Morgan Hill, and the Morgan Hill Police Department.
