picture, calling itself the Morgan Hill Granada Preservation Society.
The intention is to save and transform the Granada into a multi-
purpose creative arts center. It reminds me of a heroic moment
from a movie. These supporters have been very acti ve over the past
year or so in working with the City of Morgan Hill in an effort to
keep and develop the Granada as a prime downtown entertainment
venue. So when you travel on Monterey and pass the Granada
marquee, take note of what’s on the marquee and recall all the
fond memories of the first (and
second) Morgan Hill cinema that
featured stars such as Errol Flynn,
John Wayne, Cary Grant, Bette
Davis, Bogie and Bacall, Elizabeth
Taylor and Paul Newman.
