Rod Pintello has been a fixture in the local
community theater scene for many years. His
first appearance on stage was right here in
Gilroy. In 1982, Gilroy Community Theater
(GCT) was putting on a production of “Jesus
Christ Superstar” and Rod was looking for ways
to be involved in theater. He was not necessar-
ily looking to be in a play, but was cast in the
show as an ensemble performer as he put it”…
just because I was there.” Thus began his now
25-year involvement with community theater.
