Mary Lou Conragen Woman of the Year
Mary Lou Conragen has worked in the manufacturing division of Intel for 26 years . Since her retirement in 2004 , she has volunteered with local organizations in order to help others . She has been involved with the Edward Boss Prado Foundation ’ s Cecelia ’ s Closet and currently serves as President of the Morgan Hill Kiwanis Club . She has been instrumentatl in the organization of their annual Holiday of Lights Parade that takes place in December .

Mission Bell Business of the Year
Kentucky Derby was the theme of this years Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce Celebrate Awards held at the Morgan Hill Community Center on February 25th . Hats were the order of the evening . Appetizers , beer , wine & mint julips started off the evening … followed by a wonderful meal prepared by Mama Mia ’ s . Silent auction items were available for bidding throughout the evening . The awardees speeches captivated attendees . The evening wound down with dancing to a DJ .

Ronald Woolf , originally from Pennsylvania came to California where he worked in education for many ears , serving as a math teacher at Britton Middle School and as principal of the MHUSD ’ s Adult Education Program . In addition to serving on the MHUSD Board of Trustees , he is the scholarship coordinator for the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras . He is also on the Teacher ’ s Aid Coaltion and coordinates the Chocolate & Wine for Valentine event put on to help teachers acquire supplies for their students .
Ronald Woolf Man of the Year
A commercial woodworking company that specializes in architectural mill-work custom case work , and commercial uses of reclaimed wood , Mission Bell was originally started as Morgan Hill Millwork in 1959 . Founders Marjorie and Leonard Scianna moved their business to Santa Clara and renamed it Mission Bell Manufacturing in 1963 . In 1980 , they moved back to Morgan Hill . Today , Mission Bell is 49 percent employee -owned , with plans to make it 100 percent by the end of 2017 .
Mission Bell has played an active role in the Morgan Hill educational community as well as supporting many local nonprofit groups . Live Oak High School students have enjoyed touring their facility as part of their woodshop classes and in recent years , students from Britton Middle School ’ s robotics team have visited to see the robotics used in their state-of-the-art manufacturing products .
