Community Solutions Hearts
of Gilroy Women’s Luncheon
and Auction will be held
Saturday, May 20 from 11:30
am to 2:30 pm at Eagle Ridge
Golf Club, Gilroy. The event
promises a day of fun, fashion
and philanthropy. Funds
raised are used to improve
the lives of local children and
families affected by abuse,
violence and mental health
issues. Prizes are awarded to
the women wearing the best
shoes and a guest is surprised
with the Heart of Gilroy
Award recognizing her active
involvement in making Gilroy a
better place to live, work and

This is a two-day family fun
festival that showcases arts

the Festival on Sunday to
emcee the Garlic Showdown
and then prepare one of her
own dishes on the Cook-Off
Stage. Master Chef Season 7
Winner, Shaun O’Neale, will
be at the Festival on Friday and
Saturday. He will be judging
the Great Garlic Cook-Off as
well as doing his own cook-
ing demonstration. Offi cial
representatives from Guinness
World Records will be on hand
to certify the Gilroy Garlic
Festival as the World’s Largest
Garlic Festival. On Friday,
contestants will compete in
a Garlic Eating Contest to try
and break the Guinness world
