T
he RotaCare program was started in 1989 by
Dr. Mark Campbell, whose efforts were supported
by the Campbell chapter of Rotary Club, where he
was a member. His goal was to provide medical
care to underserved communities. Though RotaCare clinics
are not technically a Rotary project, according to RotaCare
CEO Jatinderpal Sahi, they are supported through the
Rotary Club, both financially and in terms of
manpower hours.
In the 28 years since the program’s founding, they’ve
opened 11 licensed RotaCare clinics in Gilroy and through-
out the greater Bay Area and Santa Cruz, with a Stockton
clinic coming soon.
