DAZZLE
This year’s annual DAZZLE fundraiser dinner
and party was a huge success. While the
final numbers are still being tabulated it is
anticipated that this year’s event exceeded last
year’s record $58,000 raised. Guests at Clos
la Chance winery arrived to a hosted reception
in the grand salon while viewing the showcase
raffle and auction items. Of the many auction
items, DAZZLE Chairperson Rachel Hill created
a unique Volkswagen bus bar complete with
granite surface and beer tap. The evening’s
gourmet dinner was enjoyed while Master of
Ceremonies Roger Malech entertained and
Richie Chavarria from Garlic City Auctions did
his magic with the bidders. The Sipping for
Diamonds drawing for the .5 carat diamond
was held just prior to the main attraction. The
Band, NOTORIOUS, blew the roof off with
their high energy show playing to a packed
dance floor from 8 -10pm. “I’ve never seen
so many Rotarians still on the dance floor at
the end of the night,” said Rachel. “Rotary has
changed….come check us out.”
