“Taking care of our seniors is
the right thing to do. I believe it’s
my calling and I hope to leave a
legacy of value to my family and
others in the next generation.
Living in Morgan Hill I’ve seen
how, when one person is willing
to take the fi rst step in a worth-
while endeavor, others step in
to help.”
Kenneth Tak
Owner / President
Home Instead Senior Care of Morgan Hill
Kenneth Tak believes quality of life is as important
in our fi nal years as it is in our formative years. This
inspired him to take the helm as President and Owner
of Home Instead Senior Care of Morgan Hill in 2016.
After caring for his elders in their fi nal years, Ken wanted
to shift his career focus to have a stronger, more direct
social impact. Home Instead gave him a way to do that.
The company’s services are delivered with a level of
independence, dignity and respect that he believes is
vital to the health and well-being of seniors. Equally
important to Ken, who is a Christian, is the fact that
Home Instead has as one of its founding principles
“to honor God in all we do.” Along with a passion for
senior services, Ken brings over 25 years of fi nance,
business management, IT and health care management
36
experience to his leadership of Home Instead. Previously
he was Director of Finance and Operations for Pacifi c
Reproductive Services, a nationally -recognized fertility
center in San Francisco. Ken helped establish the Morgan
Hill Aging Council to support the City of Morgan Hill’s
Older Adult Services with ideas, volunteers, and other
resources when needed. He’s an active member of the
Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce and Morgan Hill
Rotary Club. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Finance
and in Computer Information Systems from USC, and
a Master’s degree in Health Administration from Ohio
University. Ken’s parents immigrated from Seoul, Korea,
to the US in 1973 when he was three months old. Today,
he lives in Morgan Hill with his wife, Sun Kyoung, a
professional pianist, and their sons, Teddy and Freddy.
