developer, but also a property manager
(Eden Housing Management Inc.). It is
no accident that Eden Housing builds

After assuming ownership of South
County Housing facilities, they gave
several of these facilities some much-
needed updating and remodeling. If you
travel along Sixth Street in Gilroy you
have probably noticed the renovation
at Wheeler Manor, a senior housing
project. South County Housing used to
have offices in Wheeler Manor. Since
the offices were no longer necessary,
Eden converted this space into more
senior units!
Eden Housing goes one step beyond
maintenance of its properties, being
equally committed to sustaining and
fostering the people who occupy
them. Within the 165 facilities, Eden
has several programs to, as they say,
“invest in our people,” which is a major
component of its 2016-20 Strategic
Plan: Invest in Communities, Invest in

services for veterans in a subur-
ban, transit-oriented community.

nutrition, and technology. An excellent
example of this is the Eden Technology
Access Program (ETAP) which provides
digital literacy, youth leadership and
community service for at-risk youth
ages 11-19 in Northern California.

The future of Eden Housing
