Gilroy Rodeo
Gilroy Rodeo is making a return for the second year since 1956! This three-day event includes bull
and bronc riding and freestyle bullfighting, a look at some true cowboys at the Ranch Rodeo, watching
contestants ranging from local kids to adult professionals compete in rodeo events, a rodeo dance, a
taste of the vaquero days at the Charreria exhibition and rodeo performance. Tickets and information

Garlic City Car Show
Every year, the show brings in
hundreds of the area’s finest
classic cars, muscle cars, hot
rods, and customs. Garlic City
Car Show (August 17th from
10:00 am – 6:00 pm) includes
four live music stages with
some of the best local bands,
vendor booths, great food
and collector items. This year
My Classic Car with Dennis
Gage will be filming for their
TV show at both the Show
and Shine (August 16th at
Gilroy Gardens) and the Garlic
City Car Show. The Parade of
Cars will be at the Downtown
Music Series on August 15th.

Santa Clara Valley Wines
Fall Passport Month
Month-long event begins on
September 6th with a kick-off
event at Coyote Creek Golf
Club that includes live music,
20+ winery wine tasting, 12+
restaurants serving tastes. The
following day, and each day
throughout the month, curious
tasters and adept connoisseurs
may experience each unique
winery as they meander along
Santa Clara Valley’s Wine
Trail, and taste new blend
releases and get special
discounts. On the weekends,
wineries will provide guests
with live music, barrel tast-
ings, winery tours. There are
34 participating Wineries of
Santa Clara in Hollister, Gilroy,
Morgan Hill, San Martin and
Saratoga. Passports go on sale
July 25 and can be purchased
in person at any winery or the
Welcome Center in Gilroy or
online at santaclarawines.com.
PorchFest Gilroy
Sixth Annual free family-
oriented musical walkabout
where musicians play on resi-
dents’ porches. Folding chairs,

Decades
Take a nostalgic and
informative stroll through the
decades of Gavilan’s history
from the 1920s to today. Each
decade will feature areas of
academia highlighted with
education tables, as well as
food stations with themed
food from each decade, wine
stations, live music, photo
booths, students in period
costume, formal portraits,
live auction, silent auction,
strolling card magician in a
tuxedo, and a string quartet.

Gilroy Foundation
A Day In The Country
Celebrating its 40 th year, Gil-
roy Foundation’s event, titled
“Havana Nights” will be held
at the Gilroy Lodge on the
Hill. A silent and live auction,
wine tasting, and a Carib-
bean Family-Style Dinner are
highlights of the evening,
along with signature drinks.
This year's Getaway Raffle is
for a 7-day Eastern Caribbean
Cruise out of sunny Miami on
the Norwegian Breakaway. A
getaway indulgence complete
with private balcony and
stops at St. Thomas, Tortola,
and Nassau, Bahamas. Raffle
tickets are limited to only
100 and they will sell out.
