e want to thank you, our readers, for all the
wonderful, encouraging words about the magazine.
We never tire of hearing "I just love your magazine.”
And we especially like hearing "I read your magazine from
cover to cover.” It would be great if you could share your
comments with our advertisers. Let them know that you saw
their ad in the magazine—they make this publication possible.
It is with sadness that we bid farewell to Bev Stenehjem,
our Advertising Sales Representative. She is leaving us, and
Gilroy—moving to Reno with her husband Mark. She has been
a wonderful associate and reprepresentative of
TODAY
over the past two years and she will be sorely missed.
We have a very special guy featured in this issue; he's the
one on the right in the photo above with Larry and me. His
name is Mike Malineo. Mike and I go way back…to the very
first Gilroy Garlic Festival in 1979. Mike's band at the time,
Mild Storm, was the first band that I contracted with in my
position as Entertainment Chairperson. Since then, I have
enjoyed his music and his cheerful disposition at numerous
events. Sadly he is moving north and his last local gig will be
at this year's festival. I'm going to miss him (pages 100-103).
