STEP TWO Cut out pattern STEP ONE STEP FOUR Tape down drawing to Aluminum metal pre- cut square. Place metal with taped on pattern on top of a magazine and trace image with a ball point pen. Cut string in 12” segments. Tie knot in one end and string beads. (Tip-we wrapped the end of string with a small piece of tape to make it stiff and easier to thread through the bead.) String about 3 inches of beads. Push strung beads to center of 12” string and knot each side of beads in center of string .You have extra string at both ends of the beads. Repeat this beading process as you will need beaded segments between each metal design. You will tie the extra string to the metal embossed shapes. STEP THREE STEP FIVE Using craft sticks, end of paint brush, pen or a wood stick, emboss the pattern on metal using pressure-push hard. Punch hole in both edges of the metal embossed designs. Tie beaded string segments top and bottom of metal designs. Tie to a piece of drift wood and hang with string. Turn metal over and push design up in between the traced lines. Keep turning over and working metal so it becomes dimensional. That's it! Push each way making the pattern pop up and down. Keep magazine under metal so you have a softer surface. These can also be colored with permanent markers. We did a minimum of five different embossed metal shapes.
