YOUNG CHEFS
GILROY STRONG FUNDRAISER
“Give Where You Live” is exactly what an amazing group of young chefs did
to give back to their Gilroy community in support of the recent tragedy at the
Garlic Festival. Their heartfelt idea sprung into action and came to fruition in
just a little more than two weeks with the help of local sponsors (see photo)
and caring volunteers. The event was held on August 18th graciously hosted
by Fortino Winery. Dressed in white chef jackets, twelve youngsters served
their masterpiece dishes to a sold out crowd of 350 people. Ticket sales,
raffl es, and silent auction raised $22,049!
