Mainstream Boutique’s Styling Event
Hollywood Comes
to Morgan Hill
H
ollywood’s stylist for the stars, George Brescia,
made a special appearance in Morgan Hill last
October when he visited Mainstream Boutique
and offered local shoppers personal styling sessions. The
event was a big hit!
According to Mainstream Boutique owner Karen Sackel
France, “The first day he remerchandised the store, he took
down all the clothes and reset them. He kind of flipped the
store; it was great, just having another fresh eye. I learned
a lot.”
The following day, Brescia devoted his time solely to
France’s customers.
“They were so excited, they loved it, they loved
him,” France said. “It was a huge success. It was a great
experience.”
Nancy Miller, who recently achieved a substantial
weight loss, enjoyed her time with the Hollywood stylist,
who helped her create a new look.
“He worked really hard that day and he spent at least
forty-five minutes with everybody,” Miller said, adding
that her biggest take away was, “love yourself, love your
clothes, and have fun with it.”
Lynne Altmaier connected with Brescia right from the
start.
“He’s a great guy, very personable, not imposing. He’s
got a great eye, he just makes it happen,” Altmaier said.
“He’s just fun to be with.”
Luci North was so inspired by her session she
reorganized her closet, color coordinating all her clothes.
“I did that with all my new clothes and I did a nice
purge and what I found was getting ready in the morning
has become really easy because I have these wonderful out-
fits and they coordinate with a few other pieces I already
had from the boutique,” North said, adding, “It was pretty
life changing.”
For 12-year-old Charlotte Schofield, Charlie, the styling
session was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“When I was styled by George, I felt as if I was back-
stage waiting for the runway,” she said. “I had an incredible
experience that I will value forever. All in all the experience
was incredible and I’m excited to continue my experiences
at Mainstream.”
