One Step Closer Therapeutic Riding
offers adaptive horseback riding and
equine-assisted-therapy to individu-
als with disabilities and to U.S. Military
Veterans. Their award winning, Premier
Accredited adaptive horseback rid-
ing program aims to help participants
achieve their full potential—physically,
emotionally, and spiritually. The Adaptive
Riding Program serves children and
adults with special needs helping them
build independence in their daily lives
outside the arena, by using safe, excit-
ing, and motivating equine-assisted-

therapy. Participants in this program
have challenges that include autism,
Down Syndrome, developmental delays,
cerebral palsy, ADD/ADHD, traumatic
brain injury, and more.
“We do not forget the great sacrifice that
their loved ones made for our nation”,
says OSC founder Landa Keirstead. “And
we do not forget the family members
that continue to grieve their loss. It is our
privilege to host special events exclu-
sively for Gold Star families – spouses,
parents, children, siblings – and let them
know they are not forgotten”.
