Next came the food . We group-ordered intending to share and sample each dish . For the most part , it worked out . Amy ordered the Gumbo ( chicken , andouille sausage , okra , bell peppers , onions , in a beef base ). Vince went with the softshell crab Po boy sandwich ( lettuce , tomato , pickle , with a southern-style Cajun ranch sauce made in-house , served on a sweet French roll shipped in from Louisianna , served with fries ). Incredibly , the sandwich arrived in no-time .
We ordered the house hamburger ( certified angus beef , crispy onions , lettuce , tomato , dill pickle , served with fries ) and it rocked like all good burgers do . You can ’ t go wrong there .
Finally , we ordered the ( headless ) shrimp and Dungeness crab boil — combined in one heap . The boils come to the table neatly in plastic bags , seasoned with your choice of flavors . We opted for the garlic with a mild heat . It was all seafood , and all good . Bibs and plenty of napkins were supplied .
Jellyfish offers three combo boils which can include sausage , potatoes , corn , clams and mussels along with your lobster , crab or crawfish . You can also order crawfish , clams , mussels , crab ( Dungeness , King , Blue or Snow ) scallops and lobster tail by the pound at market price .
Pick your sauce ( s ) — blackened Cajun , lemon pepper , garlic butter or “ Jellyfish Smack ” ( all sauces combined ), and your heat — from mild to “ I can ’ t feel my mouth ” and you will walk away happy as a ... clam .
Not into boils ? Try the chicken or roast beef Po boy , a fettuccini pasta dish covered in garlic butter , Cajun alfredo , chicken , clams , or shrimp . For a Louisiana-style lunch , try their crispy chicken and waffles or their activated charcoal pancakes topped with seasonal fruit and bourbon maple syrup . They have plenty of appetizers , and a Cajun shrimp or chicken salad option .
