Building a Place for Our Community to Grow

Big things are happening right here in South County! The Fattoria Public Market and Food Hub project is moving forward, and we’ re excited to share the latest updates with you.

Fattoria will be a 26-acre agricultural park where our community can connect with locally produced food, farmers, and each other. Imagine a place where you can enjoy a year-round indoor European style public market, sample the morning’ s harvest, shop fresh local foods, purchase plants for your garden, sip locally crafted wine and beer, take cooking classes, attend festivals, and spend time with family and friends— all while supporting the small farms and food makers that make our region special.

Supporting Local Farmers & Food Producers
The mission of Fattoria Community Foundation, a nonprofit managing and operating the project, is to help local farmers, ranchers, and food producers thrive by providing equipment and infrastructure for family farms to compete with large conventional farms. Since announcing the project, we’ ve had lots of interest from producers who are excited to sell their products, rent space, and use our shared food hub equipment. Fattoria will give them the tools and space they need to grow their businesses— and help bring more fresh, healthy, local food to our community.
