ack when we ran a Jr . high youth group , we encouraged modeling good character , having courage , facing bullies and peer pressure , etc . We also had a lot

B of fun using games for learning .

One game we played a lot was “ Do you love your neighbor ?” 20-30 participants sat on chairs in a circle . Player 1 stood in the middle of the circle , pointed to another player ( Player 2 ), and asked , “ Do you love your neighbor ?”
If player 2 answered “ yes ,” player 1 would move to the next player and repeat . If player 2 answered “ no ” then the two players on the left and right would have to exchange seats before player 1 ( in the middle ) could take one of the seats . Someone would be eliminated . Fun stuff .

If player 2 answered “ yes but I hate those people who … ( wear jeans , green clothes , etc .) all players matching the description had to find another seat , at least two seats away . Imagine kids flying everywhere , seats getting pulled just as a player was sitting down , some light bruising . Awesome stuff . From here we ratcheted up one more notch .
Player 2 could answer by saying , “ Yes , but I hate everyone … ( in this the circle , breathing , etc .). When that happened , 30 kids went berserk . No person or thing was safe . It was “ seek and destroy ” mode to grab a seat to stay in the game . It was utter chaos , hell unleashed . Incredibly fun to watch , yet some courage was required to play . For safety , we always referred to our three golden rules : 1 ). No blood , no foul . 2 ). That ’ s not blood . And 3 ). You ’ re tougher than you think , walk it off .
Sometimes I feel like we ’ re playing an epic game of “ Do you love your neighbor ?” We answer “ yes “ and life moves on . We answer “ yes , but I hate those people who …” and things get challenging . We answer “ yes , but I hate everyone who …” and the result is utter chaos . Hell unleashed . In life , the rules are flawed and sometimes not clear . Lately , they don ’ t seem to be working . Do you love your neighbor ? Here ’ s what I focus on so I can answer “ yes .”
• Don ’ t intentionally offend , and don ' t be easily offended .
• Criticism is not a personal attack , and a personal attack is not criticism .
• Two eyes , two ears , one mouth , a mind as big as your head . Use proportionately .
• Life is precious . Fully stop at stop signs and right turn reds . I ' ve lost friends and was once almost killed in a crosswalk . Cars beat humans almost every time .
• Share a smile , your time , the sidewalk , a sandwich , etc .
• Protect your family , neighborhood , street , and community . They ’ ll protect you .
• Chips are for dips , not shoulders .
• Treat those who serve you as if they are royalty .
• To find grace , be gracious . To find kindness , be kind . To find love , be love .
This stuff is hard , then it isn ’ t . It just takes practice . Fake it til you make it . Our choices help life move on , cause utter chaos , or unleash hell . Chaos and peace are both the result of our choices . Remember the three golden rules . # 1 : No blood , no foul . # 2 : That ’ s not blood . # 3 : You ’ re tougher than you think , walk it off .
We wish you the best in life , health , business , and family . Always .
