The Grilled Salmon Salad is Deb ’ s favorite now . The salmon is chargrilled , tender and moist . Pretty darn delicious . The Meat Lover ’ s pizza is a hearty , stacked pizza with locally sourced ingredients , plenty of cheese on a nice crust that is crispy and not heavy . The bacon cheeseburger is my favorite . Char broiled angus beef , crispy bacon and cheese — what else does one need ? I would vote the bacon cheeseburger among the best in Gilroy . Chicken sandwiches are hard to nail . Gilroy Bowl nails it by grilling the chicken breast perfectly while keeping the inside tender and moist . We all loved the Southwest egg rolls . They were crispy , light , and tasty .
Bottom line : the food at Gilroy Bowl is great and priced fairly . Their full menu includes other great dishes like :
• New York Steak ( Aged angus beef , Chimichurri , crispy French Fries , mixed green salad .
• Power Bowl ( brown rice , farro , grilled corn , Azuki beans , avocado , Roma tomatoes , grilled free range chicken )
• Fresh chargrilled salmon filet ,
• Chicken Caesar Salad ( crisp romaine , free range chicken , parmesan cheese , grilled naan , Caesar dressing )
• Homemade chips and guacamole with tomatillo salsa
• Christopher Ranch Garlic Fries
• Lots of new refreshing Cocktails for the summer
• And much more .
They chargrill all their meat for better flavor , source food locally , and offer dine in , take out and delivery via Door dash .
Dessert time ! Chris suggested cheesecake with Blueberries and caramel drizzle and carrot cake with caramel drizzle . There was a quick debate on which one we should get to share . I saw where this conversation was going so , I took the lead and said , “ Both !” Why would anyone debate limiting dessert ? My suggestion is to order both , always . Especially if you have more than a few people . Sharing is caring , and dessert is supposed to follow a meal . It ’ s just the way things work .
After taking on the cheesecake and carrot cake , it was time to roll out of the booth . Looking to burn off a great meal , we made our way over to the lanes . The original Gilroy Bowl had ten lanes . Now , due to ADA and egress requirements , the new Gilroy Bowl has nine lanes . We settled in on a lane and slipped on our bowling shoes , went hunting for balls , and did our best to break things . I ’ m not saying we were terrible . We were just bad . It was a blast and so funny . Although none of us are natural bowlers , we all had a lot of fun . The scores are automatically tallied , and no one in our group broke a 100 … wait , I did ! I promised the others I wouldn ’ t rub it in too hard , but my editor made me do it . Besides , my 100 + score was a fluke .
Gilroy Bowl is filled with technology . From the illuminated lanes to the 60-plus-foot media wall , the environment is appealing , entertaining , fun , and inviting for all ages . Get down here to have a nice meal and then burn some calories off on the lanes . You ’ ll likely see some people you know and make some new friends . That ’ s how we roll at Gilroy Bowl in the heart of Gilroy !
