Local Artist Santiago Moreno is on the move. Since his first ever exhibition at CMAP Studios, he has been hard at work painting, building relationships in the local art community, and earning accolades and fans everywhere he goes. In early May he wrapped up his well-attended, month-long exhibition at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, where he displayed over 250 pieces of art. Moreno hosted several receptions during his run at the Center, including a spectacular opening reception featuring live music, refreshments and a heartfelt welcome address. Apothecary Vintage Opens in Gilroy
A new local shop with that vintage vibe opened its doors in Downtown Gilroy this spring. Apothecary Vintage held their ribbon cutting and grand opening with support of the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, local small business owners, friends, family and well-wishers. Attendees enjoyed music, drinks, and browsed the best vintage clothing, art, and handmade goods on display. This shop is the perfect business to occupy this location, which has been vacant for several months. Now Gilroy residents and visitors from elsewhere have another reason to visit Downtown Gilroy. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 12-6pm. Check them out and catch the vibe! Follow them on Instagram @ shop. apothecary
