Gilroy ' s Favorite Music Festival Delivers Once Again!

W e billed it as the hottest ticket to any live performance in the South Bay Area in 2025, and we were right! This year ' s Day on the Ridge Music Festival was a full day of fun, great music and great times, all for one of the greatest local causes, Saint Joseph’ s Family Center.

Country music filled the air well into the night. This year ' s headliner, Multi-Platinum Recording Artist Joe Nichols, put on a great show to cap off a lineup that included Nashville Recording Artist Vegas McGraw( Tim McGraw Tribute), Whelan Stone, and the Santa Cruz based Alex Lucero Band. For this observer, Lucero and Company brought the goods, leaving everything on the stage and leaving no doubt in my mind that they are a band worth following.

Vegas McGraw put on a great show and easily would have made‘ ol Tim himself proud of the performance. Whelan Stone, hailing from Nashville, who shared throughout their set how happy they were to be on the Left Coast, also headlined a pop up " Country Pizza Party " at Gilroy ' s High and Mighty Pizza on Saturday night before the Sunday concert. These boys get extra points for commitment to the cause.

Event Founders and long-time Gilroy residents Brenda and Shawn Chizanskos hosted another amazing annual concert in their backyard, And, by " back yard " we ' re talking about a couple acres of gently sloping hills, masterfully carved out to create a natural amphitheater that would make the architects of Ancient Greece, the Hollywood Bowl and the Almaden Mountain Winery all grin a grin of approval. For this country concert,“ them hills” were adorned with haybales for seating, mechanical bulls for riding, a luxurious VIP reception and lounge area, and " Ridge Row " located atop the venue, stacked with local food and beverage vendors, offering attendees the
