Adaptive Programming in Morgan Hill
By Amy Whelan, City of Morgan Hill
The City of Morgan Hill has created a comprehensive slate of adaptive programming for kids, teens, and adults with disabilities. There are regular weekly and monthly drop-in sessions, as well as seasonal events throughout the year.
Seasonal Events The Parks & Recreation team organizes themed or holiday events that usually take place at the Centennial Recreation Center( CRC). Past event examples include an Aloha Dance Party, Outdoor Summer Night Scavenger Hunt, a Halloween Dance Party, and a Holiday Cheer Party.
Next up in 2025 is an Adaptive Family Sweethearts Party, Feb. 7, 4:30 p. m., for kids 11 years old and younger. It ' s a time to dance, socialize and create beautiful memories in a safe and inclusive space. This event is thoughtfully tailored for children with disabilities, and parents and caregivers are welcome to join us at no cost.
