P The Home that Swing Made Written By Craig Lore 60 GILROY • MORGAN HILL • SAN MARTIN SPRING 2020 aul and Diane Swing, and their three children, Ryan (18), Rachel (16), and Brandon (14), moved into their luxury home. It was built by Techcon, Paul’s construction company, and designed by Paul and architect Mike Davis, in February 2019. In addition to the main house, the property includes a 1,200-square-foot guest house, a 1,200 -square-foot man cave, and a large barn to house Paul’s toys. The main house sits on a raised mound on the southern border of the property, near the center of the twenty- acre parcel. The front of the house angles toward an oak-wooded hill that rises steeply to the west and to the southwest affords views towards Clos LaChance and Cordevalle. From the backyard, the pools and patios face east towards the Gabilan Mountains. “Everything is natural,” Paul said. “No artificial materials were used in the construction.” The modern farmhouse is represented by the natural materials used: reclaimed barnwood planks and gmhtoday.com
