A lright , buckle up , folks . You ' re about to hear the latest tale of Roast
Beef , the sassiest teacup Yorkie-runt this side of the South County line , and my grand adventure to Buckeye , Arizona , to visit my human grandparents . Yep , that ' s right , I ' m talking about me . So , grab a snack and settle in .
It all started when my parentals decided it was time for me to meet Mom ’ s parents , Nana and Popo , face to face , in Arizona . Now , I am not one to turn down a trip , especially if it means getting spoiled rotten by my doting grandparents . But let me tell you , the journey was something else !
First off , there was the matter of the vehicle . I may be small , but I ' ve got standards , okay ? And let me tell you , Mom ' s car was not up to par . I mean , it ' s a sardine can for starters . But I needed to get to AZ , so I begrudgingly hopped into the backseat and settled in for the long haul .
You might think a teacup Yorkie-runt like me would be a nervous wreck on a road trip , and I was . It was a long , LONG ride . But I did strut my stuff like I owned that car , giving Mom the occasional side-eye whenever she dared to suggest I sit still . I mean , I ' m Roast Beef , baby , and I do what I want . Mostly , I wanted her to just hold me the entire trip !
We drove all night and rolled into Arizona early Friday morning . That was a story . Mom and Dad don ' twant me to talk about that . Something about a mixed up hotel reservation … text me if you want the deets !
Crossing state lines , I couldn ' t help but feel a twinge of excitement . Sure , I missed my comfy bed back home , but soon I would be finally getting to meet Nana and Popo . Until now , I have only FaceTimed them a few times , and Mom sends them photos or a video of me every day so they can see me growing . I knew they would spoil me rotten , and after that long ride , I was more than ready to be spoiled .
When we finally arrived at the grand-parent ’ s house , I received a lessthan-enthusiastic reception from Heidi , their 13-year-old Min Pin . I thought to myself , “ Seriously , girl , what ' s your problem ? Can ' t you see I ' m super cute and lovable ?” However , I ' m not one to hold a grudge , so I brushed Heidi off and focused on the real reason I came to Arizona : Nana and Popo .
Let me tell you , they did not disappoint . I was showered with love and attention from the moment I stepped through the door . Nana took me from Mom ’ s arms and seriously snuggled me . The entire visit , Popo couldn ' t resist sneaking me extra belly rubs whenever Mom wasn ' t looking . My grand-parentals really knew how to treat a gal right .
Sure , Heidi might not have been thrilled about my arrival , and I want to be sensitive to her needs , but who cares ? I had Nana and Popo wrapped around my little paw , and that ' s all that mattered . I was kind of in love too . Nana and Popo are pretty great !
So , there you have it , folks , the epic tale of Roast Beef ' s first car trip to Arizona . It was a journey filled with sass , snacks , and more love than a teacup Yorkie-runt could handle . I can ' t wait for the next adventure .
Bring it on , world .
Your pal , Roast Beef
