Gilroy ’ s Public Parks : Providing fun for all

In Gilroy , public parks provide places to play , relax , enjoy nature , and join a picnic or BBQ . Each park is unique , and together , they provide a variety of activities and facilities , making them the perfect place for a spring outing .
One of the most popular parks is Christmas Hill Park . This park is one of our largest and most majestic , featuring beautiful redwood trees , lush lawns , an amphitheater , sports fields , baseball and softball diamonds , a playground , and reservable picnic areas . It also boasts the recently restored Henry Miller Red Barn .
Another popular park is Las Animas Veterans Park , featuring tennis and basketball courts , baseball and softball fields , a playground , and a skateboard park .
But there are many other hidden gems waiting to be discovered :
• Cydney Casper Park , with bocce ball courts ,
• San Ysidro Park , with an Aztec mural and four handball courts , and
• Carriage Hills Park , with a small rock-climbing wall and plenty of green space
For those looking for a picnic rental area for a family gathering or community event , there are a variety of parks available :

• San Ysidro Park
