2024 Farm to Table Dinner Series
Hosts Lisa and Joe Raineri welcomed guests to their 2024 Farm to Table Dinner event series this summer . Amid warm skies and flowing wine , guests enjoyed a tour of the organic tomato farm , met the resident goats , and browsed artist renderings of the Raineri ’ s next project — an expansive farmers exchange and market being proposed for Morgan Hill .
We visited on the second dinner of the series to enjoy our very own columnist and friend , Chef Margie Morelos-Galvan of California Inspirations Catering , with Co- Owner and Chef Jose Rodriguez and their crew preparing the fare for the evening . Hard at work prepping and plating , both Margie and Jose had time to greet guests , mingle a bit , and answer questions about the night ’ s fare . On the menu this night was :
Appetizers : Summer Skewer Trio ( Watermelon Feta , Cantaloupe Prosciutto , Tortellini Caprese )
Primi Course : Strawberry Gazpacho ( local farm picked heirloom tomatoes , local strawberries , fresh herbs , candied serrano pepper )
Secondi Course : Seafood Stuffed Artichoke ( crab , shrimp , parmesan cheese , panko herb crusted with red pepper , remoulade , and a lemon aioli )
Main Course : Beef Roulade ( Flank steak . Spinach , sun dried tomatoes , blue cheese , potatoes au gratin , roasted roots , wine reduction )
Main Vegetarian Course : Eggplant Roulade ( eggplant , spinach , sun dried tomatoes , blue cheese , potatoes au gratin , roasted roots , wine reduction )
Dessert : Dark Chocolate Tart ( Dark chocolate grenache , pistachio , local berries , dried flower petal )
