A s we near the end of the first quarter and head into fall parentteacher conferences , progress reports , and glorious grades that will set the tone for a long cold Thanksgiving break or a joyous warm one , we should take a moment to reflect . School is tough sometimes , and the start of a new school year can be an especially stressful time for students . New classes , increased workloads , and a multitude of schedule adjustments necessitate the need for individuals to develop skills to cope with both the educational and personal aspects of a new school year . With the first quarter all but done , a refresher to help students find ways to manage duties and extracurriculars can make the most of the new school year , salvage a rough start or stay on track , and achieve success ! This article will remind students and parents of the skills and strategies that , if adopted into the student ’ s routine , will guarantee a successful and fulfilling school year .
